At Sages Cottage Farm we have also expanded our Traineeship program and now are proud to annually host 10 school-based traineeships, in either Conservation Land Management Certificate II, or Horticulture Certificate II, as well as adult traineeships in Horticulture Certificate III. Trainees work in the bushland, wetlands, Community Kitchen Gardens and throughout the property learning hands-on practical skills.

In addition, our cafe employs three School-Based Trainees in Certificate III Hospitality Operations. These trainees work hands-on in the cafe learning waitressing skills, cooking, food safety as well as event and function management.

We hope that our traineeship programs continue to show the younger children who participate in the Animal Assisted Therapy on site that there are pathways to education, employment and training that can also become accessible opportunities for them.
