Today, Menzies Inc still provides accommodation for young disadvantaged people, however, current research is again redefining how we care for children. At a time when young people are coming to us with increasingly complex problems, we see a growing need for a variety of specialist programs that can deliver well-defined therapeutic strategies in a residential care setting. Two such innovations are:

• Sages Cottage Farm

Using Animal Assisted and Creative Arts Therapy to help children who have been subjected to abuse, neglect or family violence. Click here to find out more about these programs.

• Therapeutic Residential Care

The therapeutic model of care adopted by Menzies Inc allows for children to be cared for by a small team of different people while enjoying the stability of a home with a balance between both routine and special activities.  Each young person has a dedicated care worker and a case management team who meet regularly to ensure the best care for each child.
